Very well built small lamp included with a bright bulb which hangs down from the shade about 1/2" I used it as a light over book shelfs and to lite up that area So far good.What I wantI have had many swing arm lamps over the years so I guess I assumed this was the same size. I was very disappointed when I opened the box and found it to be about half the size of every other lamp I have had. I gave one star in the categories because I didn't even light it up. It was just too small for me.Better Then Expected, I Got A White One It's AWASOME! I'm Using The Weighted Base (not the clamp) And It's Very Heavy And Sturdy! The Lamp Swivels And Reaches Beautifully.It's sturdy, bright, and it has a considerable range of motion. For the switch to turn on the light, I suggest that you buy a couple strips of velcro, tape - or whatever you prefer - so that you can stick the switch onto the base of the lamp.The lamp works well with either the weighted base or the clamp, and is doing exactly the job we bought it for. The included light bulbs aren't very bright, so we put in a bigger one that's actually a bit too large for the lampshade, but it still works. My partner loves it in her weaving studio.PerfectAs described thank you
