I had been looking for a corner desk to replace my very old one . . . this just looked wonderful. The color is perfect and for me it was pretty easy to put together. I needed an extra pair of hands at one point and my husband helped . . . but I was able to do the rest on my own. This desk is NOT big . . . I have 2 - 27" monitors, a tablet screen two printers . . . well you are getting the picture. I made this all work by buy a really nice black Sauter file cabinet. I also have a long work table on one side . . . another computer and printer and gaming stuff. Also, there was no room for my keyboard and mouse. I bought a black plastic (sturdy) tray for my keyboard and mouse and attached it . . . I added fabric baskets for the shelves which work and look great. It's perfect now . . . but the desk by itself (while nice) is for maybe a laptop or small computer . . . Just be prepared that you may need to keep buying things to make it all work right.I have been looking for a sewing table that can hold all three of my machines (a serger, a regular sewing machine and an embroidery machine) that didn't cost an arm and a leg and wasn't too big, for very long time. I found a sewing table that sort of worked for two machines but the pull out "shelf" had zero leg room so I had to sit sideways whenever I needed to use my serger. Definitely not ideal. And I had to keep moving the machines around as necessary since there was not room for all three at once. The big Koala cabinets are amazing but they are so expensive and they take up so much room and they really don't accommodate 3 machines very well. I was so happy to find this one. It is perfect! Well, almost perfect. I would have preferred that it had drawers on the sides instead of shelves, but I will be able to make it work. Most corner desks have an "L" shape where the sides come together which makes it difficult to put a machine there. This desk has a flat section which provides a perfect location for a third machine.Assembly wasn't too difficult. It took about 3 hours but I did it completely by myself. Well, almost...I'll get to that shortly. The parts were well marked and the directions were fairly clear. I didn't have any problems with the actual assembly. The reviewer who mentioned that the wings go in the back was helpful but I think I would have figured it out anyway. The correct screws were identified for each step. Not sure why some of the other reviewers had problems. The only part I had a hard time with was in the final step where you had to attach the desk tops to the frame. That was very difficult to do by myself so I had to get my boyfriend to help. I needed another set of hands to hold the flashlight so we could line up the holes in the tops and the frames and get the screws started in the holes. We were finally able to get all of the holes lined up and screws inserted, except for one. But, it is secured to the frame so well I don't think we will ever miss it.If you are a seamstress with multiple machines, this is the table for you!We bought this to replace what you see in the first photo which we have had for many years. That one served it's purpose as a personal space but when it became apparent that my wife would be working from home permanently she needed more working area. For starters this desk sets closer to the corner and allows for more usable area directly in front of the monitors. Since she uses two monitors as well as her laptop we went with the AMERIERGO Triple Monitor Stand Riser because of the ability to angle the two outside risers. This made it very easy to fit to the angled area of the new desk. This also gave us a place to put the docking station under the right riser out of the way.The assembly is not difficult but you have to pay attention to be sure as you build it on the floor you don't get the orientation of some parts incorrect. As others have said, be sure to put parts 13 &14 on the back side of the frame so all the holes in the top will properly line up. You will know you did this right when the angled cuts in those parts fit against the back legs. leave everything just snug enough to keep moving with the assembly but be sure all the holes for the wood pieces line up. Then go around and tighten things randomly as you would a rim on a car. I pushed the tops together a couple times as I was tightening things to keep the seams tight. All in all we are both very happy with this desk as well as the 3 section riser which is plenty strong and useful.Great desk for the price. I am a student and work from home - this fits a work set-up (two monitors, two laptops, keyboards, mouse, etc) and an iMac 24". Roomy underneath, fit a PC tower and has enough leg room to fully extend my chair and move around.Had an issue putting it together and there's a slight gap between two pieces, but to me, it's not a big deal since the gap is so small. The four open shelves are a little impractical for actual storage but great for a few decorative items. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this purchase.Pros:Packaged well, no damage.Came with all Parts/Tools needed, they even added extra parts.Assembly was straight very forward, if you pay attention or are used to assembling furniture.Desk is Very Sturdy, overall looks great and very happy with purchase.Cons:Just one VERY MINOR disappointment with the Small Size Desk, when you are sitting scooted in to use the desk.. I have to scoot out first before I can turn in my office chair. If I don't back out I'll hit my knees.( I would think the Larger Version of this desk you would avid this, also I'm 5'8" for reference for leg length )
