This is the second set of two that I ordered. My winter condo’s guest room is very dark at night, and I didn’t want guests to bang their leg on their bed’s footboard if they go to the bathroom in the middle of the night.Nightlights atop the dresser seemed too distracting, so I was looking for a lamp small enough to place beneath a dresser, opposite the bed. I have long ordered small, dimmable and round amber-color red 1w LED bulbs for accent lamps. These bulbs work perfectly in these fixtures when placed under the dresser. I still wanted to dim these, so they are attached to a Leviton smart dimmer, and when programmed into Alexa, I can control on and off times when we host guests, or remotely turn these off remotely.For another set I ordered, I placed these behind tall pieces of pottery, and used inexpensive dimmable corded switches controlling long Edison style tubular bulbs. (The guest room lamps could have also been controlled the same low-tech way using the corded dimmer switches).I recommend these lamps for anyone worrying about falling in the dark - guests, elderly parents, yourself.
