Offers the light I need for my desk. Nice color too.This started out as 5 stars, UNTIL I HAD IT 3 DAYS !!! At first it was perfect, color was exactly right for the room and the shade did not heat up (like the lamp I previously had) . Imagine my disappointment after 3 days when I started having trouble turning it on, ( it wouldn't). When I finally got it on after a couple of taps then the shade and lamp OVERHEATED to a DANGEROUS temperature. THROWING IT AWAY. IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD!!!!! Not worth sending back. Such a shame as I love the look of the lamp itself.light bulb can easily be replacedso far seems good, will update if changes. review choice asks about 'brightness', note this is a lamp that does NOT come with a bulb, you choose and use your own. I use a LED smart bulb in mine.I dislike the size of this desk lamp. It is definitely too short for my needs. I don't know if it's just me, but it doesn't feel like it is 19 inches tall, which is what is stated on the item listing page. Feels like it's probably an inch or so shorter. Around 18 or 17 inches.The base of this lamp is made of plastic and feels cheap.Loving a LAMP? Yeah, I do. It has a small footprint. It's easy to turn on-and-off. You can point it where you need the light. You can charge your Kindle with its plug. And it holds your chapstick, your pen, a notepad, and all those little things that clutter up the joint. I really do love this lampReally like this lamp. My only complaint is the knob becomes very warm after light bulb being on too long (15-20 minutes or more), even with the correct bulb wattage. Metal lamp shade also gets hot. If this is for a child (or accident-prone adult), might try another.Great lamp for a work table. The revolving carousel for tools is exactly what I was looking for.
